Pet Food Lead (Grinder)

Tasks:

The Pet Food Grind Lead monitors the operations of the Pet Food grinder, pumps, and assure that productivity and quality specifications are met.  As the ground product is pumped into the tanker, the lead monitors the flow and changes the fill ports so that the tanker is loaded evenly.  Throughout the shift, the lead monitors the refrigerated product temperature to assure compliance with specifications, and pulls samplesfor laboratory analysis. Responsible for assembly and disassembly of the Beehive Grinder. Monitor equipment during production and make mechanical adjustments as needed, while communicating frequently with maintenance. The lead position must understand EIM and scan products into process orders, also be proficient with understanding Plant View checks.  Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

Willing to be able to pass tow motor training.  Able to work with minimum supervision, capable of organizing several procedures.  Able to use simple measuring instruments (i.e. gauges, thermometers).  Physically fit to do constant moving and reaching.  Willing and able to use the Personal Protective Equipment.

External Requirement:

- 6 months of continuous employment with a single employer within the last 36 months of employment.

- 6 month Forklift experience listed on the application (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months.)

Rehire Consideration:

• Max of two (2) previous Tyson Employments to be considered.
• 180 days (6 months) waiting period.
