Position Overview

Sr Account Director is responsible strategic leadership of our client relationships.  Guiding our solution designs to support growth and aiding business development in new client pitches and onboarding.  He/She will be leading our account management staff and will partnering with our Underwriting, IT, Operations, Legal and Finance leadership to best execute for our clients. This role provides leadership engagement to clients to nurture and grow the relationships with AIG.  This will include engagement with 3rd party service providers and broker/relationship managers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide industry insights and AIG strategic direction related to service contract offerings.
  • Know and support client goals for strategic growth associated with service contracts and AIG related opportunities.
  • Coordinate operational strategy related to the growth and maintenance of existing and new clients.
  • Partner with contracted third-party vendors to support execution of service, sales, and marketing strategies.
  • Establishing good working relationships with our top clients, as well as with prospective clients, posturing self as trusted source of knowledge and innovation.
  • Ensuring that proposed client agreements align with operational process capacity of AIG and that AIG, and its clients and partners are executing within the boundaries of the agreements.
  • Work with leadership to set growth targets and define growth opportunities within each account relationship and support account team in execution of growth initiatives.
  • Initiate support from internal departments to ensure that the strategy and goals are delivered appropriately, including customer service, service dispatch, claims, finance, underwriting, and IT.
  • Forecast and plan both sales and cost related financial impacts of your program(s) to overall AIG profit and loss.
  • Drive internal program reviews and regular cadence of program sales and service updates to leadership.
  • Create and lead Quarterly Business Review operational presentations with clients.

Operations Management

  • Manage development process by leading and guiding development of business requirements and technical specifications
  • Work directly with internal and client IT teams to understand business needs and systems processing
  • Insure creation and maintenance of operational flows for program documentation
  • Create and provide sales reports to internal stakeholders and clients as needed 
  • Participate and guide in review of data issues and determine process to correct with input from client, partners, and internal IT teams

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales/operations required.
