About the Role:
Receives minimal technical direction/review on a broad scope of new complex manufacturing and test equipment projects. Independently, or as member of a team; develops concepts, and executes specifications, designs, plans and builds of multiple complex internal manufacturing and test equipment projects. Viewed as an expert in one or more technologies.
Work Mode
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Drives complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures. Work is expected to result in the development of new or refined technologies, products, processes, and equipment to sustain BSC’s competitive advantage.
- Provides guidance to product and technology teams.
- Leads project teams to evaluate feasibility of concepts, and reviews formal estimates of complex designs.
- Oversees the creation and reviews of mechanical design models and FEA analysis.
- Coordinates and manages design teams in the completion of project documents, designs, estimates, and costs.
- Complete project deliverables and monitor schedule and scope changes to assure team can meet delivery requirements.
- Prepares standard reports/documentation to communicate status and results.
- Leads project teams that include Designers, Engineers and Technicians in the design, assembly, and debug of equipment.
- Guides others in the selection of materials and coatings.
- Designs and specifies pneumatic systems.
- Identifies electrical system requirements, components and automated controls.
- Coaches others on medical manufacturing methods and requirements.
- Guides others through FDA/QSR equipment requirements and the implications of them.
- Influences and defines functional/departmental/divisional/corporate procedures through involvement with cross-functional engineering initiatives.
- Designs and specifies automated equipment/processes/systems needed to meet challenging product requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Requires 5-7 years of relevant experience
