About you and this role

We are looking for you, an ambitious Master student, to support our Cost Accounting Department by doing an internship project to Implement and Improve a Business and Functional Cost Compliance Reporting tool for EMEAI, based out of our location in Terneuzen, The Netherlands. As the Finance person, you will work with representatives from the main manufacturing sites in Europe to build and implement an improved reporting tool for cost compliance in Europe. The vision is one tool, easily accessible, one reality to ground and validate strategic decisions. Currently there are many different and diverse tools used for subsets of the EMEAI scope and data and that leads to many different realities and narrowed view paths, chosen for cost control and compliance. Many resources are engaged to maintain these tools and in fact these tools all have the same purpose. The objective is to use existing or new data/reports (cost driven and non-cost reports) and converge those into one logical (Power BI) visualized tool/platform. Easily accessible, powerful, efficient, and effective. Elements are scoping, project management, working with different European people, data-management and building logical databases. There are means to use or tap into that can help building certain necessary skills. Drive, engagement, and solutions oriented, are key characteristics that are more important to have.

Responsibilities

• Project scoping (summary and details) and facilitating cross functional discussions.
• Project Management and managing strict timelines.
• Taking e2e ownership of the product; delegate where needed.
• Bringing structure in diverse and big datasets for cost compliance reporting.
• Communicating with a diverse EMEAI workgroup.

Qualifications

• You are currently studying for a bachelor/master’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics or Business Administration.
• You have a good working knowledge of English; other language will be a plus.
• You have excellent Microsoft office skills (MS Teams, Excel, and Word).
• Preferred experience working with data and automation tools.
• You can start in January or February 2024 for a period of 5-6 months (exact date and duration will be discussed).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Power BI/Power Query is a preference.
• Bias of working with and managing big and diverse datasets, logical databases.
• Motivated and engaged to make a change.
• Creative mindset.
