Job Summary

As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will work with a team of talented and experienced engineers in performing many core activities to include design, development or test at the system, subsystem, and component level. Working in a Depot environment with Automated Test Equipment design, development, fabrication and test; with Electronic and Mechanical engineering/design/fabrication. The selected candidates will apply technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to solve customer needs by providing customized engineering services and products for unique customer missions.

This position is an onsite role in Chesapeake, VA 

This position can be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Post Graduate Technical Intern based on the candidate's qualifications and standing as outlined below:

• (Sophomore Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and classified as a Sophomore by start of internship
• (Junior Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and classified as a Junior by start of internship
• (Senior Technical Intern)- must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and classified as a Senior by start of internship
• (Post-Graduate Technical Intern) - must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications You Must Have) by start of internship

What You Will Do

• You will contribute your knowledge of engineering practices and problem-solving in the field of test and integration engineering
• You will support, contribute, and collaborate in a team environment, receiving inputs from the program or team experts, and work on determining and developing approaches and solutions.

Qualifications You Must Have

• This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree program and will be at minimum, entering their Junior, Senior, or Post Graduate standing level by the start of Summer 2026.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Specific majors: Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related STEM discipline
• Knowledge of data analysis, modeling and simulation, statistics, and various computational techniques for complex multi-variable problems.
• Knowledge of STK, MATLAB, or Python
