Schedule: Part time, temporary
Salary range: $15/hour up to 700 hours per year
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary:
The Inventory Technician will manage the inventory of eyeglass frames, sunglasses, sport goggles, swim goggles, and other discipline-specific supplies for the OE program. This role will focus on inventory control, fulfillment, and documentation for the efficient and accurate delivery of these products globally. The technician will work in close collaboration with the Opening Eyes Discipline Manager and be responsible for receiving, sorting, organizing, and fulfilling orders.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Receive, unpack, sort, and organize up to 65K eyeglass frames and other optical products (sunglasses, sport goggles, swim goggles, and program-specific supplies).
- Maintain accurate inventory records throughout the year, including regular reporting and management of equipment stored on-site.
- Prepare and submit monthly inventory reports to the Opening Eyes Manager.
- Order Fulfillment:
- Select frames and supplies from inventory for fulfillment.
- Generate and manage shipping documents, including bill of lading and donation letters.
- Update fulfillment progress, including tracking and shipping information, through the Opening Eyes Product Needs Form (PNF) Smartsheet.
- Enter and track orders through the OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation Changing Life Through Lenses portal to support program fulfillment.
- Collaborative Support:
- Work as a member of a collaborative team to ensure timely and accurate inventory and fulfillment processes.
- Provide operational updates and communicate effectively with the Opening Eyes Discipline Manager.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Superior time management capabilities.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Technical literacy to navigate relevant digital forms and portals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with clinical professionals.
- Optical experience is preferred but not required.
- Having your own laptop on-site is a plus for greater efficiency in accessing and managing tasks.
- Additional language skills are not required but would be considered an asset.
