Job Description

A unique opportunity within TAL to work closely with the Senior Manager of Claims Insights & Analytics, Head of Portfolio Management and the Commercial Management Leadership Team to drive optimal commercial outcomes across TAL’s Individual Life Portfolio.

Use your life insurance acumen to analyse the key drivers of our experience and provide actionable insights to the Individual Life leadership team in monthly management information packs. You will also play a critical role in executing on ad hoc strategic initiatives in the business where you’ll combine your life insurance expertise, analytical skills, curious nature and stakeholder management skills to understand the commercial implications and support management decision making to optimise outcomes for TAL and our customers.

Work in a varied role with exposure to a very wide range of commercial issues with the potential to have real impact. It is the ideal role for a talented and motivated financial and commercial analyst who likes to work across a variety of projects, is a hard-working self-starter, a quick learner with a keenness to understand and influence the end-to-end value chain.

Qualifications

With an entrepreneurial mindset, you will be a creative thinker and have confidence to bring a fresh perspective to understanding the key drivers of experience. You will be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, displaying calmness and composure in uncertain and ambiguous situations.

• Strategic and commercial thinker with proven, financial and business management skills
• 2-5 years’ experience in the Australian Life Insurance Marke
• Relevant tertiary degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics/Commerce, or Business.
• Strong financial analytical skills and attention to detail
• Curiosity about experience drivers and a drive to improve business performance
• Strong time and project management skills
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills both written and verbal
• High level of relationship development skills
• Enjoy collaborating and leveraging TAL’s supportive culture to continuously grow and develop
