Director, Technical Program Management

This leader should have a background in program/product management, deep change management expertise, strong execution capabilities, a data-first mindset and a track record of building strong business partnerships and alignment. You will:

• Establish a consistent Delivery methodology, approach and reporting for software development that incorporates Agile/lean start-up methods. Continuously evolve these methodologies to fit the needs of the business, and drive alignment and adoption across teams. Utilize team feedback and analyze data e.g. quality, delivery rate, etc. to identify areas of opportunity and improve efficiency and delivery.
• Oversee the execution of multiple projects across Core Tech, ensuring timely delivery by coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project scope, risks, and quality, while maintaining strong relationships and communication to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Lead the Delivery Team and ensure that this team is focused on Product Development’s (PD’s) most important cross-functional initiatives. Foster a collaborative work environment across PD and provide coaching and mentorship to team members, raising the bar on skills and capabilities of the team.
• Drive Jira consistency and maximize the use of it across Datavant to ensure a “single pane of glass” when it comes to execution of work and reporting out on it.  Drive the change management around this with high EQ and urgency combined, and deliver all necessary training and documentation.
• Partner with Product Operations on strategic planning, budgeting and roadmapping.
• Use work management data to proactively identify barriers and recommend solutions to remove blockers and to highlight upstream/downstream dependencies which need to be properly sequenced to allow for easy flow of work.
• Own tracking and reporting metrics around the plan and schedule; status reporting; risk and issue management; OKR reporting; and ensuring there is a clear process and governance for all these points.
• Build relationships, collaborate, and communicate directly with all stakeholders, both in Tech and outside of Tech especially in the Product and Operations organizations.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in delivery leadership roles within high-growth tech companies, overseeing complex programs and cross-functional teams. Proven ability to drive execution, optimize workflows, and implement industry best practices to ensure successful product and technology delivery.
• BA/BS degree highly desired, PMI-ACP or PMP certification a plus.
• Experience in Scrum and Agile methodologies, including leading teams in Agile environments and applying industry best practices for iterative development and delivery.
• Strong, hands-on Jira knowledge to include an understanding of how to manage project timelines, tracking progress within Jira, identifying bottlenecks, facilitating team collaboration on the platform, and ensuring accurate reporting of project status using Jira dashboards, while overseeing the overall delivery of software projects to meet KPIs.
• Ability to kickstart multi-org complex programs and drive delivery of quality outcomes with speed.
• Ability to skillfully use data to drive challenging discussions, align disparate teams on program outcomes and communicate program progress, outcomes and risks.
• Excellence in communication and execution working across the organization to drive successful outcomes.
• Experience leading and growing employees and teams.
• Comfortable leading under new, ambiguous and/or changing conditions with proven problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Professional, team player with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
