As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & community Banking- Architecture & engineering, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm’s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.

 

Job responsibilities

 

• Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
• Working proficiency in developmental toolsets like Jira, Bitbucket, Splunk, Dynatrace etc.
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE, Web Service, Cloud, Micro service, Spring Boot, Kafka
• 2+ years of experience in Micro service Architecture, Kafka, Pivotal Cloud Foundry or any cloud experience
• 5 to 7 years of experience in developing, deploying and administering Java applications ,Java spring, Java Spring MVC, Spring Batch, React JS, Angular JS, Web services (REST and SOAP), HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, XML, Rest API, GIT, Tomcat.
• Along with application development experience in implementing automated tests is must. 
• Experience of Agile team working and globally deployed applications working across a Wide Area Network
• Good understanding and working experience on TDD, BDD and Shift Left concepts
• Understanding of Database schemas and SQL queries a must

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
• B.E/B.Tech degree or equivalent experience
• Overall relevant industry experience of 6+ years
• Excellent organization and communication skills (written, oral and presentation) is must
• Must have full life-cycle experience in large, global multi-tiered systems, preferably in the financial industry
