R&D Mechanical Engineer
Tyto AtheneAbout the role
Who You Are
We are currently searching for a Research & Development Mechanical Engineer responsible for the execution of mechanical design, support, and research engineering tasks, in the development of new products for the robotics painting market. The size and complexity of each assigned task will vary, but all will require attention to engineering and design detail. You will be responsible for the design of robotic linkages, selection of drives, and various other peripheral components, and understand how these elements impact product performance, reliability, and cost.
You will be assigned several tasks to be completed concurrently. In addition to new product research and development assignments, the engineer will also be assigned to resolve issues with current products and installations. You will interface with other research and development staff, operations, sales, execution, suppliers, and, in some cases, the end customer.
Position may report on a project basis to a Senior Engineer, Staff Engineer, or Technical Team Leader on a long-term project basis.
