Summary of Job Duties:

The Department of Political Science in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas, invites applications for a non-tenure track Teaching Assistant Professor of Judicial Politics to start in August 2026. This is a standard nine-month faculty appointment.

The individual in this position will teach three courses a semester in American National Government and law-related political science courses. They will also assist the department’s pre-law advisor in informing students about the law school admissions process and legal careers and serve as faculty advisors for pre-law student organizations. The individual in this position is also expected to participate in research activity, serve the department by participating in departmental committees, and supervise undergraduate honors students. Our department comprises a diverse group of outstanding faculty members recognized for their teaching, mentoring, and research.
