Position Title:  Team Leader, Santa Maria


PROGRAM: Santa Maria Full Service Partnership (FSP)


Position Summary:

The Team Leader establishes, administers, provides trauma informed supervision and directs the Santa Maria FSP as contracted with Behavioral wellness. This self-contained clinical team assumes responsibility for directly providing needed treatment, rehabilitation, clinical intervention, and support services to identified clients with severe and persistent mental illnesses; supervises and evaluates the multidisciplinary team in conjunction with appropriate psychiatric support to ensure service excellence and courteous, helpful, and respectful services to program clients; and functions as a practicing clinician on the team.


Hours /Salary

Full-time, exempt position. Anticipated hiring range is $89,440-$104,000 annually.  Includes a generous individual benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, life, 403b retirement (with up to a 5% employer match) paid vacation/holiday time, paid sick time and a variety of helpful employee perks as well.   (*Full Salary Schedule for Non-Clinical $89,440-$108,160) (*Full Salary Schedule for Clinical $104,000-$125,320)

Responsibilities and Duties:

1.  Direct the day-to-day administrative operations of the Santa Maria FSP team including scheduling staff work hours to assure appropriate coverage for day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts and on-call hours; lead the daily organizational staff meetings and treatment planning meetings; continuously evaluate the status of clients and do appropriate planning and coordination of treatment activities to ensure immediate attention to their changing needs.

2.  Direct and coordinate the client admission process and treatment, rehabilitation, and support services of the program in coordination with the psychiatrist. Schedule the admission interview; develop and coordinate the initial assessment and initial treatment plan; assign the most appropriate staff to the individual treatment team (ITT); and provide administrative supervision of the development of the comprehensive assessment and the treatment plan for each client.

3.  Direct and coordinate, for each client, the comprehensive assessment of psychological history (e.g. onset, course and effect of illness, past treatment and responses, and risk behaviors), mental status, and diagnosis; physical health and dental health; use of drugs or alcohol; education and employment; social development and functioning; activities of daily living (e.g. self-care, living situation, nutrition, money management); and family structure and relationships.

4.  Seek trainings in proven systems of service delivery for self and staff as appropriate such as Trauma Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, Co-occurring Disorders, DBT, CBT and facilitate ongoing discussion and education with team members to promote a learning environment.

5.  Ensure that the program is providing culturally competent services to culturally diverse clients and their families.

6.  Work effectively with team members that have self-disclosed as having lived experience with mental health and/or drug and alcohol abuse.
