As a Security Officer Armed Site Patrol in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and other security-related responsibilities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with supervisors, local authorities, and/or site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout operational areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, gates, and restricted areas while verifying credentials, screening deliveries, and reporting maintenance, hazard, and/or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Support emergency response activities by assisting with evacuations, securing impacted areas, and following post orders and utility site protocols during service disruptions, weather events, and/or other incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
