Job Summary
Responsible for providing supervision and direction to subordinate staff and coordinates work flow within the major work unit. Ensures compliance with industry and Company technical requirements, standards, policies and procedures. Promotes a customer-driven service culture. Customarily and regularly directs the work of at least two or more other full-time employees or their equivalent.Job Description
This is a 2nd shift position. The working schedule will be Monday - Friday from 3pm - 11:30pm EST.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations of a specific Level 1 & Level 2 operational shift for Comcast’s Security Incident Response Team.
- Continually review all cyber security investigations and incidents in progress to identify any requiring additional attention or assistance from subject matter experts.
- Ensure all investigations and incident tickets follow established quality assurance and case note standards.
- Assist in any escalations needed from team members to complete work in progress.
- Promptly raise any tickets of concern to departmental leadership.
- Clearly communicate investigation and incident status to critical stakeholders including Cyber Security and Operations leaders, Legal, Communications, and others as required.
- Recommend and produce key metrics, KPIs, and new reports.
- Mentor and grow a team of junior level incident responders - including all HR and career development needs.
- Partner with other key incident monitoring, detection and response functions.
- Develop expertise and business acumen in Comcast products and services.
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of Cyber Security Experience
- At least 3 years managing a team – ideally in a Security Operations role.
- Strong history of working in roles with a detail-oriented focus.
- Solid technical understanding of the Incident Response process and ability to speak with other business units from a technical perspective for the life cycle of an incident.
- Familiarity with major threat actor groups and TTPs.
- Knowledge of common enterprise-grade endpoint and network defense tools
- Knowledge of major cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Ability to coach and lead team members of varying skill levels.
Nice to have:
- Experience working in a large Fortune 50 environment.
- Experience working in a globally disbursed/follow the sun model.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g. CISSP, GCIH, GCFA, GCIA)
