Registered Nurse (RN) Fellow - Oakville Emergency

Inova is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Fellow to join our Emergency Department to help expand our services in the Eastern Region of Northern Virginia.

We are opening a brand-new state-of-the-art health care facility in Alexandria, VA. Located in the Potomac Yard neighborhood is an outpatient facility that will include a full-service emergency room, ambulatory surgery, imaging services, primary care and other medical offices.

Schedule: Fulltime, Night shift. Three 12 hr shifts per week (7pm – 7:30am)

*This position is ideal for Experienced Nurses looking to change specialties. (Strongly prefer RNs with at least one year of experience in an acute and/or critical care setting).* Required to go through & complete an Emergency Fellowship upon start.

Job Summary:

• Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team. 
• Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner. 
• Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes 
• Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.

Requirements:

Requires a minimum of twelve months of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.

• Strongly prefer 2 years plus of Acute or Critical RN experience 
• BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• Must be RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN. 
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required 
• CEN/ACLS certification desired 
• Proficient in English. Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others 
• Proficient computer skills required.
