Goldstrike - Underground Fixed Maintenance (Hoist Operator)

Position Description:

Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Hoist Operator to join our team.  The successful candidate will ensure that equipment, materials, and people are transported in and out of the mine in accordance with all regulations and assure that safety and environmental policies are met.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that equipment, materials, and people are transported in and out of the mine in accordance with all regulations.
• Assure that safety and environmental policies are met.
• Preform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Two (2) years of Hoist operations experience in a mining environment preferred
• Proven strong safety ad work attendance record required
• Experience interacting and communicating effectively with a variety of individuals and departments required
• Experience working rotating shifts moving between days and nights preferred
• Ability to communicate under any situation and give and receive instructions required 
• Ability to work with everyone and develop a positive relationship with all employees required
• Operating knowledge of hoisting equipment and mine shaft conveyance structures required
• Several years experience in housing equipment maintenance preferred
• Comprehend hydraulic schematics, service manuals, parts books, and filter cross-reference books preferred
