Koniag IT Systems (KITS), a Koniag Government Services (KGS) company is seeking an experienced Program Director to provide senior leadership across a portfolio of national security, intelligence, defense, and technology-enabled programs. The Program Director will translate organizational strategy into disciplined execution, strengthen program performance, develop leaders, and serve as a trusted partner to customers and senior company executives. This position is suited for a leader who can operate across mission delivery, workforce management, financial stewardship, risk and compliance, technology transformation, and growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• Provide executive oversight for a portfolio of programs and strategic initiatives, establishing priorities, operating rhythms, governance structures, and measurable performance objectives.
• Lead and develop program managers and cross-functional teams; establish clear accountability, strengthen succession planning, and promote a high-performance, inclusive culture.
• Serve as a senior customer and stakeholder interface, building trusted relationships with government leaders, mission partners, subcontractors, and internal corporate functions.
• Monitor program execution across scope, schedule, cost, quality, staffing, risk, and customer satisfaction; intervene early to resolve complex operational issues.
• Direct financial planning and performance management, including budgets, forecasts, labor and vendor costs, margin improvement, and investment decisions.
• Establish scalable management processes, dashboards, and executive reporting that enable data-driven decisions and transparent performance reviews.
• Lead operational transformation initiatives that improve quality, speed, efficiency, and mission outcomes, including appropriate use of automation, analytics, and artificial intelligence.
• Oversee subcontractor and vendor performance through structured governance, service-level management, capacity planning, quality controls, and corrective-action processes.
• Ensure programs operate in accordance with contractual requirements, corporate policies, security obligations, records requirements, and applicable federal laws and regulations.
• Partner with Business Development, Capture, Contracts, Finance, Human Resources, Security, and technical leadership to shape opportunities, support proposals, and transition new awards into execution.
• Contribute to strategic planning, organizational design, workforce planning, and development of repeatable capabilities that can be applied across customers and programs.
• Represent KGS in customer meetings, industry engagements, executive reviews, and other forums requiring sound judgment and effective communication.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, national security, intelligence studies, technology, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• 10 or more years of progressively responsible experience in program management, operations, consulting, national security, intelligence, defense, technology, or a closely related environment.
• 5 or more years leading managers, multidisciplinary teams, or complex cross-functional programs.
• Demonstrated experience managing significant budgets, operational resources, vendors or subcontractors, and measurable performance commitments.
• Experience supporting U.S. Government customers, preferably within the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, homeland security, or other national security organizations.
• Demonstrated ability to convert complex policy, regulatory, mission, or technical requirements into executable operating processes.
• Experience leading organizational change, process improvement, digital transformation, automation, analytics, or AI-enabled operational initiatives.
• Strong executive presence and the ability to communicate clearly with senior government officials, corporate executives, technical teams, and operational personnel.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, exercise independent judgment, and lead effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
• Active Secret security clearance and ability to maintain required eligibility.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Prior leadership experience within the Intelligence Community, Department of War, military, or a major federal contractor.
• Experience overseeing portfolios that combine mission operations, technology delivery, regulatory or compliance requirements, and geographically distributed teams.
