Kings III Emergency Communications – Manager Cybersecurity

Strategic Planning and Policy Development

Defining and developing the company's cybersecurity strategy and policies. This includes identifying key security objectives and performance metrics, aligning cybersecurity initiatives with business goals, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Risk Assessment and Management

Conducting regular risk assessments to identify, analyze, and evaluate cybersecurity risks to the business. This also includes developing risk management strategies to mitigate these risks to an acceptable level.

Security Architecture and Solutions Oversight

While they may not implement solutions single-handedly, this individual would be responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of security solutions. They would work closely with IT staff to ensure that the cybersecurity measures are integrated into the existing IT infrastructure.

Incident Investigation, Response, and Management

Developing and maintaining an incident response plan and leading the response to cybersecurity incidents. This involves preparation, detection, containment, eradication, and recovery processes, as well as post-incident analysis to prevent future occurrences.

Vendor Vetting and Management

Building and managing relationships with external vendors that provide security services, solutions, and audits. 

IoT Device Security

We design, contract manufacture, install, service, and monitor emergency phone equipment and so there will be a security function there for the physical access of the device installed onsite as well as for the communications mediums utilized by the equipment. 

Awareness and Training

Initiating cybersecurity awareness, training, and testing programs for all employees and to enhance the security culture within the organization.

Compliance and Audit

Ensure that the organization complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to information security. This may also involve coordinating audits and remediating any identified issues.

Reporting and Communication

Regularly reporting on security status, KPI's, and issues to stakeholders. This role acts as the key point of communication between the technical staff and non-technical stakeholders.

Supplier Risk Assessments

Determine which Suppliers and to what level they need to be compliant with cybersecurity industry standards and how we can be assured they do so. Build an incident response process for when a Supplier has reported an incident.

Customer Compliance

Interface with customers and potential customers requesting cybersecurity information requests, understand our contractual obligations to them, and advise on legal notification requirements.

Cyber Insurance Liaison

Interface with insurance providers for auditing, compliance, and testing requirements.
