Sr. Visual Designer

IT Concepts is seeking a Graphic Designer who will support several projects at a federal agency. The position is located in Woodlawn, MD. The qualified candidate should have strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with sharp attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work both independently and collaboratively to create and design a range of creative assets that will support the organization’s strategy and business objectives.
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications.
• Ensure projects are delivered with high quality and on schedule.
• Create a full spectrum of print and digital materials: (i.e. infographics, PowerPoint presentations, images for websites and intranet, publication & layout design (reports, newsletters, etc.), and user interface design).
• Expressing a variety of visual styles, maintaining excellent attention-to-detail skills, and effectively working on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Communicating directly with the customer to intake graphic design needs and communicate status with the project manager, communications team, and customer.
• Producing new creative work and editing existing templates to include visual presentations, interactive presentations, conference and event materials, animations and video other digital and print collateral for a wide range of mediums.
• Taking developed content and creating visually appealing printed or digital materials, based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts.
• Ability to provide creative solutions to customer requests and communicate to the team and customer for buy-in.
• Create custom graphics, layout designs, presentations, and various materials to simplify explanations of data and complex content.
• Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Must have strong creative skills, backed by a compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of projects, demonstrating a passion for design and typography
• The ideal candidate will have experience working in numerous types of design, be driven by new perspectives, and be able to work quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Three years of relevant design experience
• Bachelor's Degree (BA, BS) in Graphic arts, design, communications or related field or four (4) years of equivalent job-related experience
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Stock) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print and the web
• Strong comprehension and communication skills and excellent eye for detail
• Ability to organize & track concurrent graphic design requests and deliver on time.
• Ability to quickly turn around revisions and change priorities as required
• Experience working in an Agile environment and working with project management applications (i.e. – Agility, Jira)
