Scheduled Weekly Hours:

Gundersen Health System is seeking a detail-oriented and self-driven individual to join our team as a Charge Entry Specialist. This position plays a vital role in supporting our Mid Revenue Cycle operations. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about accuracy and efficiency, we would love to hear from you!

What's Available:

• Hours: 40 hours/week

• Starting wage: $16.49 + more with experience

• Shift: Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm, no weekends or major holidays!

• Eligible for remote work after training

• Department: Mid Revenue Cycle

What You'll Do:

• Accurately and efficiently enter charges to patient and institutional accounts within 3–5 days of receipt.

• Input CPT/EAP and diagnosis codes while ensuring correct insurance, provider, and department details.

• Analyze reports with financial impact and assist with reporting and trending projects.

• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times.

• Communicate effectively with Revenue Cycle staff and external facilities to ensure accurate billing.

• Participate in training and compliance programs to stay current with data entry procedures.

• Support departmental goals by adapting to changing priorities and contributing to team success.

What You'll Need:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalency

• Experience (Preferred): 3–6 months of data entry experience, ideally in a healthcare or health insurance setting

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy in a production environment

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality
