Where you fit in

The Students Lead (Male Students) will work to inspire engagement for high school and middle school students through their leadership of volunteer teams, students, parents and volunteers. By building and championing a leadership community, they will encourage others to grow in relationship with God.  This position is perfect for an outgoing individual, whom God has gifted with; a heart for helping the next generation connect with Jesus, exemplary leadership skills, a desire to help others grow and learn, the unique ability to apply biblical values to current culture, an approachable and mature posture and outstanding communication abilities.

What you’ll be doing

#1 Team Building

• Build, recruit, and develop Small Group Leaders for student ministry, with a main focus on male leadership and development 
• Own The Crossing Students Volunteer Application and Interview Process in collaboration with the other student lead with a focus on male applicants
• Own The Crossing Students volunteer placement process and ongoing maintenance of Small Group students and leaders, including student/leader ratios in collaboration with the other student lead
• Provide regular, all-campus inclusive, training and a clear path for growth, to include; “Student Volunteer Lead” positions in collaboration with the other student lead
• Provide spiritual growth opportunities for volunteers and continually encourage them in their walk with Jesus in collaboration with the other student lead
• Create a mentoring and coaching environment that welcomes feedback and champions collaboration and personal growth for the male leaders
• Once a trimester check in with other campus volunteer teams and needs

#2 Student Team

• Collaborate with the Student Team and volunteers in the creation and execution of the student ministry, including weekly services and special events 
• Work with the Student Pastor in planning and executing biblically accurate, culturally relevant, and high energy services for The Crossing Students
• Work with the Student Pastor in creating and managing a Student Team calendar that will drive all the activities and teaching of the ministry  
• Assist in the development of an annual budget for student ministries and manage spending to budget.
