Registered Nurse (RN) - Observation (PSB2)

Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is seeking an Experienced Registered Nurse to join the Adult Observation Unit! This is a Full-Time, Nightss (3- 12 hour shifts) role. 

The Adult Observation Unit (OBS) at Fairfax Hospital is comprised of 24 beds with rapid patient turnover of 10-18 admissions and discharges per shift. The patient population consists of cardiac, neurological, medical, and surgical patients. This position allows for future professional growth by teaching the fast-paced atmosphere of an ER while strengthening critical skills in a medical/surgical setting.  Ideal for candidates who possess strong time management skills, work well in a team -paced settings.

Sign-On/Relocation Bonus Information: This position is eligible for a competitive Sign-On Bonus. Candidates who are relocating 50 miles or further are also eligible for relocation assistance.  

Schedule: Full-Time, Nights (3- 12 hour shifts)

Requirements: Requires a minimum of 1-year Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting

Minimum Education Requirement: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required.

Minimum Licensure/ Certification Requirement:

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.
