The Senior Film Producer is involved in a project from the initial development stage to the final delivery and distribution. They work closely with the Creative Director, creative leads, and other key stakeholders to shape the vision and strategy of the project. They also hire and supervise the crew, secure the budget and funding, negotiate contracts and deals, oversee the schedule and workflow, and troubleshoot any problems that arise along the way. A senior producer has to balance the creative and business aspects of the project, while also ensuring that it meets the expectations and standards of the clients, the audience, and the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Film Producer needs to have a solid background and experience in film production, preferably in a variety of genres and formats. They also need to have strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks. A senior producer should be creative, adaptable, and resourceful, as well as knowledgeable about the latest trends and technologies in the film industry. A degree in film production, media studies, or a related field may be helpful, but not essential, as long as you have a proven track record and a portfolio of successful projects.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a video production, editing, or design-related role
  • 5+ years producing and editing video content
  • Experience with Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, color correction, and Camtasia (including knowledge of 2D animation and 3D effects)
  • Online portfolio or showreel that demonstrates video producing and editing skills
  • Overall responsibility for managing the video production workflow to get VUX content produced as videos – directing and managing video production from start to finish
  • Work closely with VUX product team members and vendors to accomplish goals and objectives
  • Establish processes that enable successful and timely production at scale
  • Facilitate studio shoots and maintain/schedule studio space
  • Overall responsibility for media management and media management practices
  • Ensure video content conforms to Visa and Visa University style-guides, standards and look and feel
  • Maintain consistency of transitions and style templates with other VU learning products
  • Plan, establish and meet deadlines and milestones
  • Drive evolution, optimization and maturation of VUX video production practices and processes
  • Talent preparation and directing of talent during shoot
  • Participate fully as a team member by contributing solutions/processes for continually improving efficiency and quality of work
  • Handle multiple tasks, problem-solve and maintain a proactive attitude
  • Use constructive criticism as a vehicle for improving your skills and knowledge

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with motion design
  • Experience interfacing/collaborating with live production vendors
  • Expertise with film production logistics, project management and budgeting
  • Experience streamlining video post-production workflows for high volume output
  • Written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills
  • Familiarity with studio and live broadcast production technology
  • Relevant experience working in various aspects of video production with demonstrable portfolio of work
  • Understanding of cameras, lenses and related gear
  • Understanding of lights and lighting setups and related gear
  • Understanding of media management
  • Understanding of Adobe Premiere Pro and Audition
  • Understanding of codecs, compression, and video standards
  • Understanding of color correction and color
