Join us as our next Project Director for Project Boost reporting to our Head of T&W Operations NOAM. You will lead the Global Liquids Production Transformation initiative, overseeing the design, development, and implementation of the new modular liquid manufacturing facilities in Cincinnati. We are looking for a strategic vision to enhance operational efficiency, ensure safety and quality standards, and increase profitability through automation and modernization of production processes.

 

You will be based in Cincinnati, OH.

 

In this exciting role you will:

  • Develop and implement the project strategy aligned with Givaudan's goals for operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure the project aligns with regional demands and leverage synergies across operations in the USA.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of Project Boost, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges, including budget overspend and resource constraints.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, EHS, and T&W teams to guarantee a cohesive approach to project execution.
  • Engage with technology partners (e.g., Fricke, Ruland) to integrate advanced automation solutions into the new facilities.
  • Monitor and manage the project budget, including CAPEX estimates and financial forecasts, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Evaluate financial performance metrics such as NPV and payback periods to assess project viability and return on investment.
  • Ensure that all safety and quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle concerning fire and explosion protection and exposure control laws.
  • Implement best practices in manufacturing to achieve industry-leading safety and quality outcomes.
  • Communicate project progress and updates to senior management and stakeholders, fostering transparency and trust.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including local communities and regulatory bodies.
  • Lead change management programs to facilitate the transition to new processes and technologies, ensuring workforce readiness and engagement.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and new ideas within the project team and broader organization.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and operational efficiency post-implementation.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure project goals are met and adjust strategies.

 

Technical Skills

  • Expertise in world-class manufacturing concepts (LEAN).
  • Expertise in product industrialization.
  • Expertise in change management.
  • Experience with business process/system redesign.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts (e.g. OPEX, CAPEX).

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or a related discipline.
  • 15+ years of experience in manufacturing operations with a strong background in supply chain, quality, and/or materials management, including exposure to M&A projects, organizational change, operational restructuring, business process redesign, systems implementations, and enterprise risk for local organizations.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in people management.
