Worker Designation – This role is hybrid. This means you will be expected to report to one of our Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.

What does it take to be successful in this role?
• Knowledge of Insurance and NAIC Model Laws and Regulations
• Knowledge and understanding of Aflac’s policy language, products, benefits, limitations, functional area systems and procedures
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interact with management, and internal and external customers, and to establish effective working relationships with representatives from state and other regulatory agencies
Education & Experience Required
- Bachelor's Degree In management, business administration, health care management, or a related field
- Two years of professional job-related work experience working with the establishment of business processes/procedures derived from compliance, regulatory, and/or business policy issues
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Education & Experience Preferred
- HIAA designation

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
• Works closely with Legal, Government Relations, Internal Audit, and various other departments to assist in analyzing state and federal insurance requirements; compiles information necessary to prepare statutory department of insurance (DOI) filings and other forms required by the DOI in the states where the company does business
• Serves as a liaison between the Company and State Insurance Department and other regulatory entities; tracks, researches and responds to Departm
