Position Overview
The Sr. Scientist in Bioconjugation will play a pivotal role in advancing our drug development pipeline. You will design, generate, and characterize ADCs to be used for named programs and collaborate closely with colleagues to contribute valuable bioconjugation insights to advance therapeutic products. Additionally, you will design and execute experiments to expand our bioconjugation toolbox with novel and innovative technologies.
Responsibilities
Research Design and Execution:
- Generate high quality ADCs to enable advancement of named programs.
- Lead efforts to evaluate innovative bioconjugation technologies.
- Design and execute experiments to establish platform bioconjugation technologies.
- Assess developability of lead ADCs for named programs.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to plan experiments aimed at advancing drug development projects.
- Independently execute laboratory experiments, following established protocols and ensuring the highest standards of scientific rigor.
- Design processes to increase effectiveness of experimental results.
Data Analysis and Interpretation:
- Characterize biophysical properties of ADCs using various techniques, such as analytical SEC, HIC, PLRP, and LC-MS.
- Interpret results and draw meaningful conclusions to guide decision-making.
- Troubleshoot reactions of complex nature.
Project Collaboration:
- Update project teams with experimental results that will influence optimal bioconjugation design of a novel therapeutic.
- Collaborate with colleagues from diverse scientific disciplines to achieve project goals.
- Participate in project team meetings, providing expertise and insights to drive projects forward.
Continuous Learning and Development:
- Stay informed about the latest bioconjugation advancements in the ADC field.
- Proactively seek opportunities for professional development and contribute to the scientific growth of the research team.
Requirements
Education: BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience for Bachelor’s, 6 years of experience for Master’s, or 3 years for Ph.D. in preclinical drug development in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
Knowledge and Skills
- Demonstrated experience in bioconjugation techniques
- Knowledge of analytical techniques, purification methods, and characterization of bioconjugates.
- Experience in ADC development, antibody engineering, and protein modification is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate scientific concepts to non-scientific stakeholders.
- Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Salary Range
$136,000 - $155,000
