Warehouse Supervisor

Description

Position Overview:

Under the direction of the South-Central Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the warehousing duties and functions in accordance with company policies and procedures. Duties include directing and administering the organization’s warehouse management systems, policies, programs and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Warehouse Supervision:

· Responsible for the daily warehouse functions and task assignment

· Responsible for the accuracy of inventory, facility maintenance and infrastructure

· Supervise the shipping and receiving of merchandise and keep accurate documentation

· Follow and disseminate the goals and objectives set by the company to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency in improving the operations

· Ensure staff is performing tasks in accordance with job responsibilities

· Meet deadlines and ensure quality of orders

· Lead, train, mentor L3 positions and supervise entire warehouse staff

· Strong written and oral communication skills; attention to detail, prioritization, organization and multi-tasking

Marginal Job Functions:

· Promote a positive, safe, clean and well-organized facility and grounds

· Other projects as assigned

Requirements

Education:

· High school degree or equivalent required

· Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred

Experience:

· 3 – 5 years experience in a warehouse role with prior leadership experience

Other Requirements:

· Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel

· Background in SAP preferred
