Essential Function
The Sr. Vendor Performance Analyst is responsible for aligning with the key internal stakeholders on vendor performance KPIs, leading the creation of those KPIs and KPI tracking, and partnering with the Manager, Senior Director, Merchandising teams and vendors on strategies to improve performance. This requires quantitative and financial analytic acumen, in addition to the ability to partner cross-functionally creating strategies/action plans to drive improvement. Very strong analytical skills, demonstrate strategic thinking and a working knowledge of supply chain & vendor performance principles are required. Programming language experience a plus. This position will partner internally with Merchandising, Supply Chain, Accounts Payable and the Information Systems team to drive data integrity and insights into vendor performance. They will also have moderate interaction with the vendor community.
Primary Duties
50% Development of Vendor Performance KPIs, tracking and reporting capabilities
- Align with all internal stakeholders on a defined set of measurements/KPIs that will truly capture the drivers of positive/negative Vendor Performance at SBH.
- Develop those KPIs and tracking capabilities. Ideally this will be done autonomously, however, this position will serve as the IT liaison to address data gaps, data discrepancies, and resource deficiencies when required.
- Continuously assess and improve the quality of the data that feeds the reporting and the reporting methodology to drive high confidence in the reporting.
- Create clear & concise reporting, with regular updates to internal stakeholders including Senior Leadership, which include insights into current vendor performance and plans for improvement.
20% Partner with Manager – Vendor Performance and Merchant teams to develop vendor-specific strategies to improve their EDI and OTIF performance at SBH
- Pull, interpret, and model data from multiple sources (Vendor P&L, category reporting, supply chain reporting, JDA, etc.) to uncover key drivers of vendor performance gaps.
- Effectively communicate analyses & recommendations to the Manager, Vendor Performance and appropriate Merchant partners for contemplation in vendor performance improvement plans.
- Assess the vendor performance improvement plans in the context of the broader KPI reporting to ensure vendor-level plans are being executed and project the impact on future Vendor Performance team KPIs over time.
20% Spearhead vendor dispute resolution across supply chain processes and invoicing
- Manage incoming invoice disputes from vendors regarding payment discrepancies, stemming for supply chain receiving processes
- Standardize process flow to manage disputes across the PO life cycle to promote effective and proactive resolution
10% Vendor Performance drivers for continuous improvement:
- Continuously work to identify potential deficiencies in vendor performance that have not previously been identified. Assess the impact/size of prize and engage internal stakeholders to include in vendor performance improvement strategies
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor’s Degree required in a Business and/or Data Analytics discipline; MS/MBA preferred
- 5+ years in Business; retail or consumer products experience a plus, but previous experience in an analytical role is required
- Well-developed math & analytical skillset required, knowledge of one or more programming languages required (SQL, Azure, Alteryx etc.)
- Data visualization skillset required (Tableau, Power BI). Manhattan WMS and Caspio experience a plus
- Experience in project management principles and strategies required
- Comfortable with MS Suite
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional projects required.

- Self- starter – takes a proactive approach to problem solving and whitespace opportunity identification
- Ability to develop strong relationships with key partners
- Strong skills in selling point of view and persuading other functions to support your recommendations
