About the role

What you need to know:

  • Lead strategic initiatives to implement, maintain, and enhance AIG cybersecurity posture through IT Security Business Services Delivery across the business units.
  • Lead and provide day to day oversight and coordination across the IT Security Business Services Delivery team for Cybersecurity projects, specifically System and Application remediation (patching, settings, EOL) upgrades), Monitoring and Logging, Identity and Access Management.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the business CIO organization as interpreters for the development of IT security solutions.
  • Partner across multiple business units and Infrastructure Services on security initiatives and services.
  • Work with the Software Security Assessment (SSA) Team to ensure application portfolios adhere to standards and recertification cadence.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert /technical mentor in translating Cybersecurity requirements.
  • Partner with the business and security team to ensure security standards are followed, enforced and components delivered to improve security are implemented with high quality.
  • Collaborate with other Information Security Organization leads to deliver tactical and strategic work and provide transparency and communications horizontally to all regional business unit Project Managers.
  • Use analytics to identify critical security risks and recommend actions to improve. 
  • Review threat intelligence feeds from company cyber defense center and track remediation progress across AIG business units.
  • Work with Technical Risk and Controls Team to ensure that regulatory security requirements are being met by the business units  (NYDFS, GDPR, DORA)
  • Lead geographically dispersed teams.
  • Lead project meetings, communicate project status, assess project risk/issues, develop mitigation plans and resolutions with both project staff and senior leadership.
  • Work with regional teams to embrace scope and budgetary needs.
  • Some travel may be required.
     

What we’re looking for:

  • 15+ years of experience in Information Technology, Project Management, People Management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or MS a plus.
  • 5+ years Information Security and Risk Management experience required.
  • Experience with Qualys, Veracode, Tanium, WhiteHat, and Imperva.
  • Knowledge of development or architecture frameworks with fundamental knowledge of security concepts.
  • Security Certifications a plus: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CGEIT.
  • Excellent Project Management, problem solving, and analytical skills; PMP certification a plus.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written; MS PowerPoint a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and across multiple time zones.
  • Leadership and managerial experience; this position will have a staff of direct reports.
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to positively influence the behavior of peers and build relationships with other teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate security risks in business terms to all levels of the organization.
  • Commitment to advancing skills in the cybersecurity field.

The base salary range for this position in Jersey City is $175,000 - $218,000, and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
