ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Our Sales Director will work closely with Avaya’s GSI partners throughout their sales cycles and across their sales organizations to facilitate solutions and opportunities, as well as help GSI build long term digital transformation platforms with Avaya solutions.
Our Sales Director is responsible for building trusted relationships with partners, increase Avaya market share and attach rate, evangelize about the partnership and lead all business interactions from engineers to CxO level. The GSI Sales Director will own the strategy, the sell-to, sell-through and sell-with motions with the GSI and will animate many customer workshops, sales event, public presentations, and executive engagements.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry experience
- 15 plus years of large account management experience
- Experience in developing executive level relationships
- Excellent business acumen
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in working with Partners and OEM’s on a global basis
- Experience in building high performance sales teams with a consistent sales methodology
- Excellent collaboration skills with other teams to internally to leverage the collective knowledge of the organization for the benefit of the GSI partners
COMPENSATION
The pay range for this opportunity is from $169,920 to $212,400 + target sales incentive + benefits
This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and location.
HIS JOB DESCRIPTION IS EFFECTIVE ON FEBRUARY 1, 2016. Directs and supervises field sales associates to achieve unit revenue, profitability, and expense objectives. Leverages P&L information to optimally design coverage for their territory. Ensures that field sales are successful within assigned area. Achieves regional quota by training and mentoring field sales on appropriate sales activities, new account prospecting, building strong partner relationships, developing partner account managers to drive additional growth, and leveraging the sales network. Maintains ownership of a group of key accounts, and is proficient at servicing and growing those accounts. Should be a highly experienced revenue generator and manager with a proven track record of exceptional results and motivating employees. Coaches team on how to sell the full portfolio of Avaya solutions. Selectively creates senior partner relationships with the largest customers to build a trusted advisor status. Coordinates and reviews field sales strategies and account plans that segment the addressable market and align partners in key target areas and addresses partner gaps. Ensures that field sales reps are actively recruiting and onboarding new partners to broaden AvayaÂ’s footprint within the addressable market. Assists field sales in key situations as a trusted advisor to partner principals/owners and is highly influential in resolving problems and conflicts, as well as assisting with critical negotiations. Collaborates with partnersÂ’ sales management, to guide and mentor partner sales teams. Responsible for ensuring that the region has the right talent to achieve goals. Recruits talent as needed, and is able to organize team with a strategy for progressing and replacing sales talent. Plays a key role in onboarding new sales talent.
