Job Description
Inkblot Marketing is recruiting for a photographer. This position will manage photography equipment and take pictures at the appropriate ASUN events. After such events, the photographer must fill out a data sheet, keep the photos organized, and update the ASUN website. They will also develop new ways photography can be used to promote ASUN.
Responsibilities
Inkblot photographer must:
Attend ASUN events and take photos
Make sure the photos being taken are taken from a marketing perspective and are representing ASUN and the undergraduate students in a professional manner
Prioritize taking photos of students in Nevada gear.
During “slow” period making sure to get stock photos around campus.
Sign out equipment when using it
Take CSE/ASUN staff pictures
Take stock photos of campus and student life to be stored in digital backups for marketing/information purposes
Stay up to date with Inkblot’s project management software and respond in a timely manner to requests, comments, questions, or concerns.
Understand and abide by Inkblot, ASUN, and University standards.
Attend weekly staff meeting
Have at least 10 approved working hours planned per week with both office work and event work.
Keep requested scheduling tools up to date with availability.
Required Qualifications
Candidate demonstrates knowledge of the principles of photography
Candidate has understanding or willingness to learn how to use Flickr
Candidate has an understanding of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
Candidate has an understanding for photo-editing software (Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom preferred)
Candidate is able to approach strangers and ask to have their photos taken
