POSITION SUMMARY:
Analytic Services Inc. (ANSER) is seeking a Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) analyst to support the Office of the secretary of Defense, Office of the Performance Improvement Officer and Director of Administration and Management (OPIO-DA&M), Organizational and Management Policy (O&MP) Directorate. You will support the Advisory Committee Management Officer (ACMO), providing executive-level project, operational, and analytic support to ensure Department-wide compliance with the FACA.
Day to day responsibilities:
- Provide subject matter expertise support relating to the research, development, preparation, and staffing of packages associated with the DoD FACA committees.
- Manage policy development, process execution, and compliance in accordance with DoD guidance and federal policies and procedures for assigned advisory committees.
- Assist with the preparation of FACA committee membership packages, gather and process member information, and ensure the completeness and accuracy of information received.
- Conduct FACA committee charter and membership balance plan establishments and/or renewals to include drafting charter and membership packages, obtain General Counsel and Principal Staff Assistant and DoD Component head-level coordination for Secretary of Defense or Senior leadership-level approval.
- Perform editorial reviews of all memoranda, membership packages, and charters for consistent and accurate language.
- Assist in the development and management of the FACA processes and procedures to include data management and workflow procedures.
- Conduct detail oriented execution of special projects as assigned by the ACMO or O&MP leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Secret clearance required.
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years’ experience providing services to senior general/flag officer ranks and/or SES levels within the DoD, other government agencies, or industry corporate equivalents.
- Knowledge and understanding of the FACA and related statutory and regulatory authorities, DoD Instruction 5105.04 “Department of Defense Federal Advisory Committee Management Program,” and DoD policies, procedures, and memoranda governing the program.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to conduct analyze and present complex information using concise and accurate oral communications and written presentations, briefings, issue papers, policy and memoranda.
