Starting Pay Range: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 4:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Assignment Duration: Now through the end of December
Locations: Phoenix & Tempe, AZ

Job Summary:
In this key role, you’ll be responsible for packing, organizing, and sorting patient files as part of a large-scale records transition project. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual who can accurately categorize documents, maintain proper sequencing, and ensure all patient information is handled in accordance with regulatory and confidentiality standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
Mail and Correspondence Duties
- Collect, open, date-stamp, scan, copy, and distribute all incoming mail from the corporate mailbox to the appropriate departments.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing correspondence for tracking purposes.
Medical Records Responsibilities
- Process all medical records requests received via email or electronic systems from internal teams and external entities, covering multiple EHR systems (e.g., SAMMS, Methasoft, Advanced MD).
- Ensure all activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA requirements.
General Responsibilities
- Attend work regularly and punctually.
- Meet established production and quality standards within the department.
- Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
Qualifications:
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
- At least one year of experience in administrative roles within the healthcare industry.
- A minimum of one year handling mail and correspondence tracking.
Skills
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and HCFA requirements.
- Proficient in using EHR systems; experience with SAMMS, Methasoft, or Advanced MD is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Ability to sit for extended periods, with some bending, stretching, and stooping as needed.
- Adequate hearing and speaking abilities to communicate effectively by phone or in person.
- Sufficient vision to read documents and computer screens.
- Capacity to handle variable workloads and occasional high-stress situations.
