Your Team, Your Impact

The Optics team develops highly integrated silicon photonics platforms that combine optical components, analog front ends, controller ASICs, and DSPs, enabled by robust embedded firmware. We own design, verification, validation, and system level testing across the full product lifecycle, from concept through NPI. The team develops production test software and custom test equipment for chips, sub assemblies, and modules, working closely with OSATs and contract manufacturers to support high volume production.

What You Can Expect

As a Staff Test Development Engineer in the Operations business group, you will test features on the silicon semiconductor chips Marvell produces for internal and external customers. You will make sure we don’t ship out any underperforming units. You’ll work closely with design to make sure their chip features are testable and that the results meet the customer’s specifications. You may even have to write new code or develop new testing strategies when our chips outpace the capabilities of current testing equipment.

  • Develop production and characterization ATE test programs and hardware. Understand test requirements, test methodologies and test strategies.
  • Collaborate with Design teams on new products from debug, characterization to full production.
  • Manage production test programs at various manufacturing sites. Support new product qualification and transfer.
  • Identify & drive test cost reduction and yield improvement projects.
  • Align test engineering systems/processes for various manufacturing sites

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 3+ years of related professional experience. OR Master’s degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 2+ years of experience.

  • Minimum 2+ years in semiconductor test engineering experience.
  • Solid background in ATE testing (critical skill), test methodology, silicon process, DFT/DFM, and high-speed digital testing experience required.
  • Microprocessor and Network Processor experience is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of AdvantestTest system/software will be an added advantage.
     

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

100,300 - 150,200, $ per annum

The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
