The CDAO harnesses AI and machine learning technologies to support commercial goals, develop new products, and enhance risk management. The Machine Learning Center of Excellence (MLCOE) is a leading AI & ML team that tackles real-world financial problems using the company's unique datasets and systems. The Time Series & Reinforcement Learning team (TSRL) within MLCOE is a dedicated group of ML engineers and former traders, focused on building AI systems across all JPMorgan’s lines of business. As a Technical Program Manager - Executive Director within our technology team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic technical program plans, overseeing complex technology projects, and managing resources, budgets, and timelines. You will have the opportunity to champion continuous improvement and contribute to our organizational goals.

 

Job responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic technical program plans, aligning with organizational goals and cross-functional collaboration
  • Oversee complex technology project and program execution, managing resources, budgets, and timelines while mitigating risks and addressing roadblocks
  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying process optimization opportunities, incorporating best practices, and staying abreast of emerging technologies
  • Report directly into the Chief Information Officer and partner with the Chief Business Technologists across the AI/ML and Data Platforms (AMDP) organization to maintain and execute governance processes, metrics and measurements aimed at creating a consistent operating model and driving efficiency and quality across the organization.
  • Set the agenda, coordinate logistics, and create materials for meetings including offsites, town halls, and monthly/quarterly business reviews.
  • Track execution of action items originating from Global Technology Leadership meetings, AMDP Leadership meetings, and regulatory sources
  • Partner with Finance & Business Management on key business management functions including project/resource management, budget/forecasting, vendor management, and financial analysis.
  • Partner with GT Strategy & Product and Agility Office to ensure book of work alignment across the portfolio
  • Partner with HR on key resource management functions such as requisitions, talent development, onboarding, and change management
  • Partner with Communications to ensure clear messaging across the organization
  • Be a culture carrier, connecting the organization to the firm’s guiding principles

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 7+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in large organizations
  • Demonstrated proficiency in technical solutions, vendor product knowledge, managing vendor relations, and implementing solutions
  • Advanced analytical reasoning skills, applying critical thinking and problem-solving techniques to break down business, technical, and operational objectives
  • Proven ability in leading through change, managing dependencies, and controlling change in high-pressure, shifting environments
  • Advanced expertise in stakeholder management, establishing productive relationships, and driving beneficial outcomes aligned with firm objectives
  • Solid experience in managing program/ project schedules, tracking program/ project and milestone completion, and reporting progress effectively to stakeholders.
  • Expertise with Agile and Scrum frameworks and the application in product development and delivery organization
  • Strategic, organizational thinker with a track record of strengthening program governance and controls within a large organization
  • Experience with the tools used to produce governance documentation, stakeholder communications, and track program metrics (PowerPoint, MS Project, Excel)
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills with the ability to coach others in the best ways to present
