Context

The Staff Learning Unit (SLU) is located within the Intergrated Talent Management Division (ITM)  of IOM and is responsible for managing programmes and initiatives established in line with the learning and development needs of the Organization. SLU is based in Valencia and Manila.

Under the overall supervision of the Chief, ITM Division and the Head, Staff Learning Unit at the IOM Global Learning Centre, and under the direct supervision of the Human Resources (HR) Officer for Learning Initiatives, the Senior HR Associate for Learning Initiatives will assist in monitoring the entire project lifecycle of global learning initiatives in coordination with service providers and other relevant colleagues in IOM.

1. Assist in coordinating the design, development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of assigned global ecosystems/programmes focusing on, but not limited to: digital upskilling (with specific focus on data and AI), role-based learning paths (CoM Learning Path, RMO Learning Path) and leadership development programmes (IOM Leadership Programme, Young Professionals Programme).
2. Support the Head of the Centre in the development and implementation of an organization-wide learning strategy for all staff and leaders with specific focus on leadership development as well as data and AI upskilling and its integration into key areas of work (the latter, in coordination with ICT). 
3. Draft sections of proposals for new learning initiatives that address a learning gap identified through surveys, discussions, workshops, etc.
4. Contribute to the global learning calendar by ensuring that all learning events managed are featured in the calendar and the learning management system.
5. Work with colleagues responsible for communications to design a communications plan and implement global and targeted promotions lever
