About the role
What You Will Do: We are currently seeking a full-time Research and Development (R&D) Tax Credit Manager to join our team in our Atlanta, GA office. As an R&D Tax Credit Manager, you will provide clients with insights relating to cash saving, refund, and deduction opportunities resulting from R&D-related investments. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through the complexities of the R&D tax credits, with a focus on optimizing the benefits within regulatory guidelines. We are seeking candidates eager to make a meaningful impact on a growing team. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership qualities and embrace the potential opportunity to grow into a project leadership role. This position is open immediately to qualified applicants in Atlanta. Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple projects simultaneously, including the coordination and completion of R&D Tax Credit studies in the manufacturing and distribution industry
- Maintain active communication to manage expectations and ensure client satisfaction
- Conduct client interviews and perform detailed calculations and analyses related to R&D Tax Credit studies
- Provide proactive status updates on projects to Director and other team members
- Research and draft technical memoranda related to R&D tax credit matters
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of our client’s business and the industry in which they operate
- Travel to client locations to perform client inquiries and other on-site procedures related to the study
- Team with partners and senior personnel on proposals and business development opportunities
- Provide timely training, coaching, and performance feedback to staff associates
- 7-10 years of R&D Tax Credit experience, including 5+ year(s) in a senior role leading R&D Tax Credit engagements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics/Statistics, Tax, or similar areas
- Strong organizational, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills
- MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical abilities
- Ability to work in a team-based environment
- Willingness to travel to client locations
