Sterile Processing Technician

Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Sterile Processing Technician to join our Operating Room team on a PRN basis.
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, maintaining, and preparing instruments and equipment for all departments in the hospital.

 

Position Requirements:

 

• Required: High School Graduate or Equivalent
• Preferred: Post-secondary coursework in Sterile Processing skills
• Required Professional Experience: Prior experience as a hospital Sterile Processing Technician.
• Licensure: Sterile Processing Certification is required within one year of hire.
• Preferred Certification: Sterile Processing Certification upon hire.
• Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position. Access email, reference internal websites, access electronic health records, and use online learning tools to remain current with continuing education requirements.
• Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Beginning Skills – Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, write a letter.

 

Work Shift:

 

• PRN (as needed)
• Required to work a minimum of 2 shifts per month
• Scheduled Days: Variable (as needed)
• Scheduled Shift: 4 – 10 hour days, Monday - Friday
• Occasional On Call every 5th Weekend
• One holiday per year. On a rotation basis. Call back is within 60 minutes.
