The Audio/Video Support Engineer will report into the LA IT Operations Manager and is responsible for providing on-demand Audio/Video and Video Conferencing support for WPP employees and visiting clients.  The role is also expected to provide general deskside IT and AV/VC support for various WPP events on as-needed basis

 

What you'll be doing:

• Deliver world class technology support services to WPP employees and visiting clients, operating within predefined structure, methodologies, and standards set by WPP IT
• Log all IT engagements into a ticketing system to ensure IT demand and performance data can be reported upon
• Serve as the 1st line of support for all AV/VC issues and requests.
• Perform basic AV troubleshooting including resetting devices, cable management, etc.
• Diagnose and escalate technical issues to service contracted AV integrators
• Provide AV training for all WPP employees in the site
• Prepare AV equipment for events such as Town Halls, pitches, and high-profile client meetings
• Prevent, identify, and resolve technical issues on site and update users on progress and resolutions
• Onsite support for video conference meetings and recordings, client pitch events
• Maintain phone connectivity in all AV presentation settings
• Interact with cable television provider for signal or transmission related issues
• Evaluate AV systems for software and hardware upgrades
• Assist in managing contracted AV integrators
• Ordering and management of inventory
• Ensures that WPP and WPP IT policies and procedures are adhered to

 

Who you'll be working with:

The AV Support Engineer will report to the IT Operations Manager and will support our colleagues and visiting clients at our Los Angeles & Orange County campuses.

 

What you'll need:

• Must have MacOS and Windows OS experience
• Experience supporting 100+ people and remote staff.
• Proven ability to handle challenging, rapid-response user support.
• Product experience with Crestron, Polycom, Office 365
• Experience and knowledge of web conferencing platforms and standards – Microsoft Teams, Skype, Google Hangouts Meet, BlueJeans, Zoom, SIP, and H.323
• Demonstrated AV Control experience with Crestron, Extron, and Polycom
• Ability to incorporate new consumer products into integrated commercial AV systems
• Working knowledge of AV practices and procedures in a relaxed yet corporate environment
• Comfortable using, configuring, troubleshooting mobile devices and applications, iPhone/Android.
• Excellent client facing, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple concurrent tasks while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent self-organisation
• Completer / finisher mentality - has a strong track record of delivery, has attention to detail, is organised and demonstrates excellent ti
