About the role

Join USMA Specialty to Lead Medical Communications and Scientific Training for the launch of daprodustat!

As the Director of Medical Communications and Scientific Training, you will lead the development of the US Nephrology Integrated Scientific Communication Plan inclusive of GSK-led medical education, congress activities, internal scientific training, and content to support external engagement. You will be accountable for the development of the omni-channel strategy and will execute medical communications in a data-driven customer-focused manner with the ultimate goal of improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following.

  • Update the Integrated Scientific Communication plan and scientific narrative for daprodustat with consideration of evidence generation, medicine strategy, and changes in the US environment.

  • Deliver the USMA nephrology congress plan and associated activities, inclusive of sponsorships, media, medical exhibits, symposia, and relevant scientific content.

  • Lead the development and delivery of robust, customer-centric medical communications and the omni-channel experience across channels including websites, third-party educational platforms, email, social media, and others as appropriate. Develop key performance indicators to measure impact and use data and analytics to optimize the customer experience.

  • Develop and deliver scientific training for the internal and field medical teams.

  • Represent the US voice and strategy in global publication meetings.

  • Be accountable for accurate scientific deliverables and follow GSK policies and processes for all activities.

  • For all deliverables, collaborate with medical experts and internal cross-functional teams as appropriate.

                                                                                                                                        

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • PhD, PharmD, MD, or advanced science degree (Masters of Science, MPH).

  • 3+ years experience in Medical Affairs or Scientific Communications.

  • Experience with medical strategic and tactical planning

  • Experience in developing medical communications, including scientific slide decks and digital content.

  • Experience with congress planning and associated deliverables

  • Experience leading and working within cross-functional teams.

  • Experience interpreting, analyzing and organizing scientific data.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Experience in developing Scientific Communication Platforms and Scientific Narratives

  • Experience in publication planning

  • Experience leading congress strategies, engagement plans, and activities

  • 3+ years experience in Nephrology
