What do we need?

We are seeking experienced Operations Supervisor for our growing healthcare revenue recovery company. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, will be responsible for the day-to-day functions of his/her assigned team and client(s). Ensuring that assigned inventory is kept current and being followed up on based on client contract, company policy and to maximize monthly revenue.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of assigned Operations team of Revenue Recovery Specialists
  • Work directly with Director, Sr VP of Operations and Human Resources regarding staffing and staff issues/concerns.
  • Work closely with other departments including Partner and Payer Relations, Clinical Team , and DCD to ensure client expectations are met/exceeded and issues communicated by the client(s) is being resolved timely and accurately
  • Participate in client meetings as requested.
  • Facilitate and participate in internal leadership meetings
  • Work closely with clinical team to ensure URN/URA and Coding accounts are routed appropriately.
  • Utilize reports to assist with managing inventory
    • Review staff members’ caseloads daily to ensure equality of inventory and adjust assignments as needed to meet company goals and metrics.
    • Review high dollar inventory regularly to ensure accounts are worked, timely, efficiently and is moving in the right direction to payment/resolution
    • Conduct a monthly review of aged accounts (depending on program type)
    • Ensure payments are properly posted for each client
    • Review accounts for closure
  • Identify and report hospital and payer trends
  • Complete staff evaluations timely providing details related to performance and identify goals in coordination with Director of Operations.
  • Assist in staff development and training for all team members including:
    • identifying training opportunities, preparing training materials, and conducting training sessions.
    • Mentoring staff members as opportunities arise
  • Maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills to always portray positive, respectful and collaborative communication.
  • Manage time off and PTO requests in payroll system and on shared calendars.
  • Follow established procedures and protocols to perform job duties while adhering to regulations and policies set forth by the company
  • Provide mentoring and guidance with team members
  • Monitor productivity and quality of work completed by staff and discuss findings with team members.
  • Identify and report issues impacting productivity including identification of staffing needs.
  • Conduct team meetings including completing agenda and meting minutes.
  • Provide incentive ideas to maintain motivation
  • Complete other projects and tasks, as needed and/or requested.

Requirements

  • Preferred 2+ years’ experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, appeals /denials or related field.
  • Supervisor/Management experience a plus including managing staff in a remote work environment.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience as a DRS 2 or above level at Aspirion.
  • Must have effective coaching & mentoring skills
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management.
  • Have effective time management skills and ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Must have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Understand the importance and benefits of data quality
  • Able to work independently
  • Must be able to interact and effectively work with teams at every level of an organization
  • Must have strong computer skills being proficient in Microsoft Office 365 programs, and experience working in various client systems and payer portals.
