Job Description:
As an AVP, Revenue Management & Commercialization, you will lead and develop a high-performing commercialization team to manage the full lifecycle of AT&T’s products and services, fostering innovation in go-to-market strategies and utilizing data-driven decision-making to maximize revenue growth and expand market share. Oversee the identification and capitalization of new business opportunities by overseeing market research, fostering strategic alliances and partnership programs, and developing strategies to expand distribution and drive growth.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Market Analysis, Strategy and Performance Tracking: Ensure products reach target points of distribution and markets while ensuring optimal profitability. Work cross functionally on customer needs, market trends and competitive analysis to align on strategic product positioning within the market, monitor and analyze the performance of market development activities to optimize strategies and improve effectiveness.
- Channel Management: Manage key quality KPI’s across the portfolios to ensure goals are directly tied to financial plan. Work with customer facing channels to drive towards goals and provide necessary visibility to drive results.
- Profitability Analysis: Conduct analysis across the portfolio to identify profitability of products. Partner with finance organization to find operational efficiencies within the PnL and utilize tiger teams to drive these initiatives to completion. Drive operating plan to ensure KPI’s are tied to overall financial plan
- Benefits Realization: Develop a consistent process for tracking benefits of key programs and initiatives, including capital-related projects. Incorporate updated forecasts and provide consistent methodology for prioritizing projects. Utilize closed loop feedback to improve the process on the front end to drive enhanced measurement of benefits for submitted intake projects.
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive short and long-term strategies to drive market growth, penetration, and achieve business objectives, including specific initiatives for new and existing products, services, and verticals.
- Program and Project Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and analysis of strategic initiatives and programs, including the launch and communication plans at the national and market levels, ensuring alignment with market and business needs. Manage and mentor cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure the timely, on-budget launch of commercialization initiatives and strategic programs, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Partnership and Alliance Management: Establish, nurture, and manage strategic partnerships and alliances, negotiating engagement terms to enhance market presence, drive revenue, and support mutual goals, while continuously assessing partner needs and business drivers.
- Budget Management, Compliance, and Innovation: Develop and manage the budget for market development activities, ensure compliance with regulations, foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, and collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and technical teams to drive results and effective resource management
- Implement go-to-market strategies: Supervise and guide the team in translating established strategies into actionable plans by leveraging market analysis to identify target segments, refine competitive positioning, and support revenue growth for new and existing offerings.
- Performance and Strategy: Oversee the team’s ongoing monitoring and optimization of product and channel performance. Provide direction on using data analytics, market trends, and competitive intelligence to inform strategic adjustments and improve outcomes.
- Stakeholder engagement: Act as the primary liaison to align business units, ensuring effective communication of insights and recommendations to senior leadership and supporting decision-making.
- Growth Support: Direct initiatives such as emerging market identification, incentive development, and distribution strategy coordination to expand market reach and optimize channels.
Job Contribution: Develops the organization’s philosophy, departmental strategies and defines long-term goals and alignment with overall business objectives. Typically leads large teams, directly supervising supervisors as well as senior staff within the organization. Plays a significant part in cross-functional initiatives across AT&T. Responsible for influencing decisions regarding the hiring, firing, disciplinary action, promotional activity, and pay decisions for subordinates.
