Job Description:

Are you a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) looking to specialize in obstetrics and gynecology? Join our team and make a meaningful impact on women's health through expert, patient-centered care.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated OB/GYN Nurse to provide exceptional care for patients across the spectrum of women’s health, including pregnancy, labor and delivery, postpartum recovery, and gynecological needs. In this role, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using advanced technology, therapeutic interventions, and evidence-based practices while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert nursing care to patients in obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive health.
  • Support expectant mothers throughout prenatal care, labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
  • Assist with gynecological procedures and treatments while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Educate and counsel patients on reproductive health, prenatal wellness, and postpartum care.
  • Coordinate care with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Position Specifics:

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday (4 days per week) 8:30AM-5:30PM

  • Location: McKay Dee Hospital and North Ogden Clinic

  • Prefer experience in obstetrics, labor and delivery, or women’s health nursing

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive Pay Rate based on experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers.
  • RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in obstetrics, labor and delivery, or women’s health nursing

Physical Requirements:

Physical Requirements

  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
  • Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
  • Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
  • Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
  • May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
  • For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
