Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing Drafter

Description

 Kalos Services is seeking an experienced and driven individual to lead the development of our new design department, focusing on creating detailed models and drawings that support installation and prefabrication teams. This role will also involve the production of permit drawing sets for systems that can be designed but do not require engineering. 

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design process from conceptualization to completion, ensuring the delivery of high-quality models and drawings.
• Create detailed models and construction sketches for installation teams using industry-standard software, such as Revit and other architectural modeling tools.
• Collaborate with prefabrication and installation teams to ensure models are practical and provide real-world installation support.
• Produce permit drawing sets for non-engineered systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
• Engage with all relevant construction projects, providing detailed sketches or construction plans as required.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs align with project schedules and client expectations.

Requirements

• Strong experience in HVAC system design, with a focus on modeling for practical installation purposes.
• Proficiency in Revit and other architectural or design programs.
• Proven track record of managing the entire design process from start to finish, including drafting, revision, and final approval stages.
• Knowledge of the permitting process for systems that do not require full engineering.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with construction detailing and the specific needs of prefabrication teams.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Aptitude for solving complex design issues in fast-paced environments.
