Job Description

We now need a results-driven Senior Specialist, Planning &  Management to join our Schooling Team.

The Senior Specialist, Planning & Management touches all aspect of schooling, including the planning function within the Schooling Team which ensures SA proactively approaches opening our network of schools each year. This role has the opportunity to analyze, diagnose, and implement scaled service processes which serve our 57+ schools (and growing). This will require building high leverage relationships within schooling and cross-functionally  Think of this as an incredible opportunity to go wide & deep at SA and to interact & collaborate directly with our most senior Network and School-based Leaders.

Key responsibilities include: 

• Deeply understand and document the pain points of process owners, end users, and the intended outcomes and goals/KPIs SA and Schooling are looking to achieve. 

• Leverage stakeholders to drive towards and implement against detailed and clear requirements

• Conduct detailed and data driven product deep dives.

• Leverage data-first approach to analyzing problems and proposing solutions

• Become both a technical and process expert in the areas you are shaping. 

• Support the launch and project management of each year's planning cycles by facilitating leadership's ranking of company-wide priorities, the associated achievable scopes of work, and all requisite workstreams and milestones. 

• Continually Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Address issues promptly and proactively, escalating when necessary through defined verbal and written channels

• Within your active scope, driving standard reporting cadence, and memorialize critical decision, risk, and process documentation

• Lead post-project evaluations to gather insights and incorporate lessons learned into future planning cycles and overall process improvement approaches. Recommend best practices and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement 

A successful applicant will have the following experiences and education:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management or a related field

• Strong interest in Project Management

• Takes a data-centric approach in driving discussions and decision making

• 3+ years of proven experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail 

• Excellent communication and cross-functional skills - you know how to tailor messaging to audiences 

Required Traits

• Data-driven and comfortable translating business requirements into actionable insights via milestone mapping and measurable analytics.

• Experience with leading project management tools 

• Experience with process improvement, documentation, and reporting
