As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and document activity using computer and/or tablet tools. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and/or visitors at a healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, alarms, and/or access concerns.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and help to confirm authorized entry through badge checks, visitor verification, and/or sign-in procedures per site policy.
  • Complete routine rounds to observe doors, gates, loading areas, stairwells, and other sensitive areas for unusual conditions and/or policy concerns.
  • Document security-related activity, incidents, and patrol observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and promptly communicate concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Provide directions and general assistance to visitors, including guidance to departments, check-in areas, and/or designated waiting areas, while following site-specific visitor protocols.
  • Operate site communication equipment such as radios, phones, and/or intercoms to coordinate response and relay information to appropriate contacts.
  • Support emergency procedures such as evacuations, fire responses, and/or severe weather protocols as directed by site policy and Allied Universal guidance.
  • Participate in required briefings and trainings, follow post orders, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or policy concerns through the appropriate channels.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
