About the role

Nemours is seeking an IT Infrastructure Project Manager to join our Nemours Children's Health team in either Orlando, Florida or Jacksonville, Florida.

This is a hybrid position.

The IT Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for the oversight, management and delivery of large-scale technical infrastructure projects and the IT components required for renovations and new construction projects across the Nemours enterprise.  This position is responsible for defining the technical scope, leading the design process, and coordinating and monitoring installation efforts through to occupancy so that projects are delivered on time and on budget.  Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field and five or more years of experience managing large, complex infrastructure projects in a healthcare environment.  

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with Construction, Facilities, and IT Teams to define project scope and schedule for IT Infrastructure and Construction projects. 
  • Prepare budget estimates for assigned projects and proactively monitor and refine as required throughout the various construction design phases. Ensure ongoing operational costs post-implementation are communicated to IT leadership for inclusion in annual budgets. 
  • Organize and lead project status and working meetings, including preparing and distributing progress reports to team members and leadership.
  • Develop and facilitate an issue reporting and resolution process.  Escalate irresolvable issues promptly to ensure quick response and corrective actions to keep projects on track.
  • Construct and maintain the necessary documentation and artifacts for projects, with a keen focus on ensuring complete and thorough reviews of construction documents that specify technology components. 
  • Promote empowerment of the team while holding them accountable for their commitments and removing roadblocks to their work. 
  • Support Executive Sponsor or Project Owner in managing customer expectations for project deliverables, assist with stakeholder communications and actively support governance processes. 
  • Ensure the implementation of IT deliverables follow all regulatory requirements, including Infection Control processes that are required in healthcare construction (ICRA). 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience implementing information technology projects using agile or traditional project management methodologies, preferably with infrastructure or construction in a healthcare environment required.
  • PMP, Agile Project Manager or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Prior experience with PM toolsets such as MS Project, Visio, and Office is preferred.
