We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Research Equipment Specialist Team Supervisor to join our team in York, NE. In this role, you will support field research equipment operations, lead a team, and collaborate with research centers across North America to ensure our equipment is maintained, utilized, and continuously improved for optimal performance and data quality.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead Equipment Operations: Champion the safe and effective use of field research equipment across multiple research centers.

  • Travel & Support: Visit Corteva research centers throughout North America to provide hands-on training, troubleshooting, and support for equipment maintenance and operation.

  • People Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Safety Stewardship: Own and model a strong safety mindset, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of PPE.

  • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee and perform service, repairs, upgrades, and maintenance on equipment—directly, through your team, or with vendors.

  • Training: Facilitate training sessions for equipment users, both individually and in small groups.

  • Logistics: Prepare equipment for shipment or storage, including cleaning, loading, and unloading according to established procedures.

  • Inventory & Tools Management: Ensure effective management of parts inventory and both hand and software tools.

  • Testing & Validation: Conduct field and shop testing of equipment, validating performance and recommending improvements.

  • Administrative Duties: Maintain maintenance records, create training materials, generate reports, and process invoices.

  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the team and business objectives.

What Skills You Need:

  • Associate's degree in mechanized agriculture, agricultural engineering, industrial technology, or a related field required, Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Experience working with and/or maintaining agricultural equipment.

  • Familiarity with fabrication, mechanical systems, electrical concepts, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word); comfortable with technology (e.g., iPads).

  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Valid US driver’s license.

  • Willingness and ability to facilitate training for small groups.

  • Ability to travel within the assigned region, including overnight stays as needed (company vehicle provided for business travel).

  • Understanding of the cyclical nature of agriculture and sensitivity to time constraints associated with biological products.

  • Ability to, with or without reasonable accommodation:

    • Climb/work in elevated areas

    • Stand/sit for extended periods

    • Work indoors/outdoors in varying weather conditions

    • Lift up to 50 lbs.

    • Perform repetitive motion and lifting tasks

  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and be on call during seasonal peaks.

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • Bachelor's Degree in mechanized agriculture, agricultural engineering, industrial technology, or a related field.

  • Experience with agricultural field equipment.

  • Previous experience facilitating training sessions.

  • Supervisory or people leadership experience.
