What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of Scout’s 50-state registration rule database used by both field and headquarters staff to execute accurate and compliant vehicle deliveries.
- Partner with the Senior Manager of Transactions to shape the overall title and registration compliance strategy, including vendor sourcing and onboarding.
- Serve as subject matter expert in U.S. registration requirements and compliance, with an emphasis on direct-to-consumer vehicle delivery operations.
- Work cross-functionally with delivery, funding, remarketing, auto finance, and field operations teams to ensure seamless registration workflows.
- Collaborate closely with product managers to ensure a seamless customer experience throughout the digital and physical registration journey.
- Oversee onboarding of new dealer licenses in states across the U.S., ensuring all necessary back-end registration and title processes are established and tested before launch.
- Support the creation and rollout of training materials for field and HQ teams to ensure accurate execution of customer paperwork.
- Build and maintain internal documentation and process maps for title and registration workflows.
- Provide guidance and oversight on complex registration scenarios including multi-state deliveries, lienholder and out-of-state compliance, and secondary owners.
- Monitor key registration metrics and drive resolution of exceptions and errors in a high-volume environment.
- Support audit and quality control efforts to ensure regulatory and internal compliance.
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Fremont, CA.
- The responsibilities of this role require 4-5 days attendance in office with in-person meetings and events regularly.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- Bachelor's degree in preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing high-volume vehicle registration operations, preferably in a direct-to-consumer or multi-state dealer setting.
- Strong knowledge of state-level vehicle registration, title, lien, and dealer license requirements across all 50 states.
- Experience standing up or scaling registration processes in new markets or states.
- Experience working with DMV vendors, title administration platforms
- Collaborative and communicative style with the ability to work across multiple departments and vendor partners.
- Process-oriented mindset with an ability to build, document, and optimize standard operating procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and registration systems/software.
