Position Summary

Concordia University is seeking student applicants for the position of Graduate Assistant in the International Admissions Office. This part-time position will be located on the CUW Mequon, WI Campus. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and be confirmed enrollees in a Concordia University graduate education program in good academic standing.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with International Student Orientation(s) to welcome new students to campus
  • Answer phone calls, Whatsapp messages, and emails with timely and accurate information
  • Assist with student worker training and scheduling
  • Provide campus tours and information to visiting international students
  • Create marketing pieces such as testimonials, reels/videos for social media, and content for international high school counselor newsletters
  • Assist with International Admissions process & record keeping using CRMs such as SLATE, Terra Dotta, and Banner
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Demonstrates effective leadership, organizational skills, and is a self-starter
  • Ability to respectfully interact with people of diverse backgrounds, cultures & faiths
  • Strong typing skills
  • Ability to keep information confidential and accurate
  • Candidates should possess strong written and oral communications skills in written & spoken English
  • Fluent in additional language(s) preferred
  • Experience working with International Students preferred
  • Able to deal with interruptions and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to present a Christian and professional manner
  • All candidates should possess an ability to meet deadlines
  • Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS)

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required
  • Enrollment in a Concordia University graduate education program required
